News Update: Police still searching for hit-and-run driver

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Police are still trying to locate the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a man who fell off a scooter near 51st Ave and 66th St Sunday.

Fox 13 reports that Kristopher Simington, 23, fell off his electric scooter while trying to cross the street. He landed in the path of a white pickup truck and was run over. First responders pronounced Simington dead at the scene.

Police urge anyone with information concerning the incident to come forward.
