News: Hit-and-run crash on the Howard Frankland Bridge injures 1 person

TAMPA, FL – A driver was hurt in a hit-and-run collision on the Howard Frankland Bridge Saturday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The driver of a Mercedes sedan was on southbound I-275 when they lost control of their vehicle and hit a barrier on the outside shoulder of the road. They returned to the road and collided with the trailer of a Nissan Pathfinder hauling a boat. The collision caused the Pathfinder to jackknife and separated the boat from the trailer.

Following the crash, four occupants of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot.

The driver of the Pathfinder, a 36-year-old man, suffered minor injuries in the incident.
