News: Crash in Clearwater leaves pedestrian critically injured
CLEARWATER, FL – An accident in Clearwater late Tuesday night has left a pedestrian critically injured, Fox 13 News reports.
According to police, the incident occurred as a 29-year-old man was walking across Drew Street near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. He was hit by an SUV that was headed east on Drew Street. Police said the man was trying to cross the street against a red light at the time he was struck.
The victim, whose name was not released, was rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he was listed in critical condition.
Clearwater police are continuing to investigate the crash.
