News: Bradenton man dies after being thrown from motorcycle in Cortez

CORTEZ, FL – A man died following a motorcycle accident in Manatee County early Monday morning, according to WWSB.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the 32-year-old victim was riding a motorcycle in the right lane on Cortez Road when he drove off the road near 102nd Street West at about 1:30 a.m.

The motorcycle went onto a shoulder of the roadway and the driver was thrown from the bike, colliding with a tree. The motorcyclist, a Bradenton resident, was pronounced dead after being transported to Blake Medical Center.

Investigators with the FHP are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
