News: Teen driver dies from injuries suffered in St. Petersburg car crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Police say an unlicensed teenage driver has died from injuries suffered when the car he was driving crashed last week in St. Petersburg, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

This is an update to a previous story.

The victim was identified as 16-year-old Isaiah Bostick.  Investigators said Bostick was speeding and driving recklessly on 26th Avenue N. on Sept. 29 just before 11 p.m. The Mazda he was driving hit a curb, hydroplaned and struck a tree.  Bostick was extricated from the wreckage and taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he passed away Monday night.

Four teenagers in the car with him were also injured but are now recovering at home.

Police said none of the teenagers who were involved in the crash had a driver’s license. Authorities are continuing to investigate the deadly wreck.
