News: Man under arrest in crash that killed woman in Bradenton

BRADENTON, FL – Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash in Bradenton Monday morning, the Bradenton Herald reports.

This is an update to a previous story.

A 34-year-old woman was struck by a pickup truck while she was crossing lanes of traffic on U.S. 41 near Bayshore Gardens Parkway, the Florida Highway Patrol said.  The woman died at the scene and a search began for the pickup driver who hit her.

On Wednesday, troopers arrested a suspect in the case, 42-year-old Richard Aaron Richardson, who was booked into the Manatee County jail.

The FHP was able to track down the Ford F-250 pickup involved in the crash on Tuesday following a tip.
