News: Hillsborough County police searching for driver involved in fatal hit and run crash
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – According to WTSP, Hillsborough County police are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit and run accident that took place at the intersection of Gunn Highway and Tarpon Springs Highway around 10:20 p.m. on July 10th.
A truck pulling a boat trailer was turning left while an oncoming motorcycle was approaching. The motorcyclist tried to avoid hitting the trailer but could not. The truck then left the scene of the accident. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The sheriff’s department is looking for any information concerning the truck and trailer. They believe that the right trailer tire has been damaged.
