News: Semi-trailer and SUV involved in deadly crash in Zephyrhills
ZEPHYRILLS, FL – An SUV and a truck were involved in a fatal collision in Zephyrhills Friday morning, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
State troopers responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Otis Allen Road and Old Lakeland Highway at about 7:30 a.m. An investigation determined that the 40-year-old SUV driver was stopped at a stop sign on Otis Allen Road and then made a turn, entering the path of a semi-trailer.
The driver’s side of the SUV was hit by front of the truck and the SUV driver, a Zephyrhills resident, was killed. His name was not immediately released.
The semi-trailer overturned from the impact of the crash. The 45-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger were seriously injured. Both are Dade City residents.
