News: One injured in 3 car crash in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL – A three-car crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway injured one person Tuesday morning.

According to News Channel 8, the accident happened around 10 a.m. at the causeway’s intersection with Dr. Kiran C. Patel Boulevard.

The crash shut down traffic in the westbound lanes towards Clearwater for about four hours. All lanes reopened by about 2 p.m.

One person sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision, and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
