According to the Tampa Bay Times , the crash happened on Nebraska Avenue near Bearss Avenue at around 1 a.m.

The driver hit a marked police car that was parked on the interior lanes to block traffic from an earlier crash.

A one-year old infant in the suspect’s vehicle was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital-Main. The child did not suffer any serious injuries.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Twitter post reported that the suspect was identified as 29-year-old Donald Leon Whitfield. Whitfield reportedly had a blood alcohol content of .171, which is double the legal alcohol limit in Florida.
